Just wanted to let ya'll know that I'm going in for knee replacement surgery on Aug. 6th at Pioneer Valley Hospital. I'll be in for 3-4 days and then home to recoop for 6 weeks. So, I should have lots of time to post updates here!
Also, the ghost hunting group is getting our website up and running to check it out: unknownutah.com. |

Problems with your knee? Well, don't come running to me about it!
Sorry; I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Hope all goes well for you and that you are feeling fine in no time at all.

Is this an animal food-trough wiper I see before me? One whose mother was a hamster and whose father smelt of elderberries? Go away or I shall taunt you a second time.
I assume everyone reading this--people are reading this , aren't they?--are familiar with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. If not...never mind. |

RUN AWAY!!!!! RUN AWAY!!!! OK, I give. Hey, marslight, you're good! When are you moving to Cedar City? You will have to meet our group when you get here. You would fit right in. Please join our ghost board as well on: www.unknownutah.com.
We're an irreverent bunch and have investigations all over Utah. I'm sure we'd get down to Cedar City. Also, we go to Helper as well and I'm sure you could drive half-way and meet up with us for an investigation. Fellow Monty Python fans are always welcome! |

| Thankew, thankew. The move to CC was to take place this past Spring, and obviously it did not. Now it loooks like next Spring is more likely. This is due to financial problems and my wife being seriously ill and hospitalized. |

I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she is getting better. I'll send some light and prayer her way instead of catapulting cows at you...hehehe.
Are you prepared for the culture shock when you move to Utah? Why did you choose Cedar City? Just curious. |

Back in 2002 we took a week vacation at Brian Head. With plenty of time for exploration, Lea said she wanted to check out a land sale she had seen on eBay called the Escalante Valley...Ranches? Estates? Something like that. Out near Modena; close to the Nevada state line.
We drove out there and spent a few hours looking for it but never found it (fortunately) and did some looking around in Cedar City with an eye to buying a lot for investment. Prices were low then, especially compared to prices in California. The more we looked the more we realized this would not be a bad place to retire.
We wound up buying a five-year-old house in a fairly new subdivision and rented it out to a group hoime organbization for the next five years.
Our original thought was to buy in St George, but we both dislike the desert climate there. Cedar City is about 3500 feet higher and has colder winters, but more tolerable summers. |

Sounds like you did your homework. St. George is grand central station for retired folks anyway. Winters aren't so bad when you're retired and can stay inside if you want. I prefer cooler weather myself; I can't take the heat and forget humidity.
Hope your wife is better and hope we can all meet someday! |
