With so many people seeing this, I am suprised that nobody had a cell phone/camera and took a picture.
Hopefully someone did and it just hasn't hit the net yet. |

That video is certainly not of the object that I have heard described as being over the gates at the airport.
First of all it is way way too high.
A second of all, It is most likely venus.
Cameras do that wierd looking distortion when zooming way into a a pinpoint of light.
This is definitly not the Chicago Airport UFO that I read about. |

From Richard Boylan
Friends,
The following is an eyewitness report on the UFO at O'Hare Airport, Chicago November 7, hovering 700 feet over Gate C-17 at the airport's C Concourse. O'Hare is widely considered the busiest airport in the world. (And now beyond.)
The report is from an investigator, PD, of the NUFORC organization.
Richard Boylan, Ph.D.
Occurred : 11/7/2006 16:30 (Entered as : 110706 16:30)
Location: Chicago O'Hare Airport, IL
Shape: Circle
Duration:20 min
((NUFORC Note: This individual was interviewed, at length, by one of
the investigators involved in the follow-up investigation. The
investigators were highly impressed with the witness's credentials, and
with the accurate description of the event. We deem this witness to be
extremely highly credible.
We express our sincere gratitude to this witness for his having shared
the information about his sighting with NUFORC, and with his fellow
American Citizens. PD))
Chicago OHare UFO Report
Witness: Ok I have been hesitant about talking about this, but after hearing the
report on Coast to Coast AM with Mr. Norey I can not be silent. I work
for a major airline at OHare, I am a taxi mechanic. I have the job
responsibilty of moving aircraft under there own power from gate to
gate or the hangar complex for maintenance. We also accomplish the
engine run-up testing needed. So I hope that does something for
establishing a little of credibility for my report. I am still in
absolute wonder and amazement at what I saw that afternoon.
Around 1630 a pilot made a comment on the radio about a circle or disc
shapped object hovering over gate C-17 at the C concourse in Chicago.
At frist we laughed to each other and then the same pilot said again on
the radio that is was about 700feet agl (above ground level). The day
was overcast with the ceiling being reported at 1600 feet if I remember
correctly. I was taxing a Boeing 777 from the Intl Terminal to the
Company Hanger on the North side of the Airport. As we passed the C
Terminal on the Alpha taxiway we observed a dark gray hazy round object
hovering over OHare Intl Airport. Is was definately over the C
Terminal. It was holding very steady and appeared to be trying to stay
close to the cloud cover. The radio irrupted with chatter about the
object and the ATC controler that was handling ground traffic made a
few smart comments about the alleged UFO siting above the C terminal.
We had to contiune moving the aircraft to the hangar. After parking I
noticed the craft of no longer there but there was an almost perfect
circle in the cloud layer were the craft had been. The hole disappeared
a few minutes later.
For the rest of the night there were jokes made on the radio about the
siting.
((NUFORC Note: This individual was interviewed, at length, by one of
the investigators involved in the follow-up investigation. The
investigators were highly impressed with the witness's credentials, and
with his description of what he saw. We deem this witness to be highly
credible. PD))

VICTOR: This story on the O'Hare UFO seems important for two reasons
that I address in the article:
1) It is a daylight sighting by several very credible witnesses of a
metallic disc-shaped object at relatively low altitude.
2) The incident has been reported by multiple major mainstream news
outlets in the U.S. and internationally.
NEWS ANALYSIS: DISC-SHAPED UFO OVER CHICAGO' O'HARE INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT TRIGGERS NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL NEWS COVERAGE! –
Steve Hammons, Staff Writer, American Chronicle, Friday, January 5,
2007
CHICAGO – Eyewitness reports from United Airlines employees and
pilots
about a gray, metallic, disc-shaped craft hovering over Chicago's
O'Hare
International Airport have resulted in widespread news coverage within
the mainstream U.S. media and international news outlets.
In a Chicago Tribune column published Jan. 1, Jon Hilkevitch reported
on
the Nov. 7, 2006, incident. Hilkevitch wrote that the object was first
seen by a United ramp worker at about 4:30 p.m., while directing a
United plane at Gate C17. Several other United employees also
reportedly
witnessed the UFO.
When the Associated Press picked up the story this week, major media
outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, ABC News and National
Public Radio carried reports on the encounter. Even the political Web
site TruthDig.com carried a report of the sighting.
The incident has also triggered press reports in Canada, Australia, UK,
Germany and elsewhere. Editor & Publisher, the journal and Web site
that
covers the press, reported on the news media coverage of the O'Hare
incident.
WELL-DEFINED METALLIC DISC
A United mechanic in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 spotted the disc above
Gate C17, Hilkevitch reported. Eyewitnesses claimed the
metallic-looking
disc was "well defined" in the sky.
No lights were reported and the size of the object was estimated to be
6
feet to 24 feet in diameter. Witnesses stated the object was in a
stationary position and was silent, according to Hilkevitch. It hovered
just below the cloud deck which was estimated to be 1,900 feet that
day.
"… I know that what I saw and what a lot of other people saw stood
out
very clearly, and it definitely was not an [Earth] aircraft," said a
mechanic who witnessed the object.
A United manager reportedly ran outside from his office when he heard
about the sighting on an internal airline radio frequency. The object
suddenly shot up, creating an unusual circular hole in the clouds,
through which clear sky could be seen by witnesses.
Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center,
subsequently received information about the incident, according to
published reports.
News accounts have claimed at least six people, and perhaps more,
witnessed the object. There has also been speculation that many
witnesses have chosen not to come forward. There are also unconfirmed
reports that photos were taken of the object. Initially, United
Airlines
and the FAA claimed they had no information on the incident ... until
the Tribune filed a Freedom of Information Act request.
Interestingly, United and FAA officials have since reportedly found
indications of the eyewitness reports.
"Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon," said FAA
spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory.
MEN IN BLACK TO COUNSEL WITNESSES?
Some media coverage of the incident is predictably using a humorous
approach, making reference to the movie MEN IN BLACK and to the TV
series THE X-FILES.
This may not be funny for those who saw the strange disc and were
honest
and courageous enough to make reports. Apart from the shock of actually
seeing something so unusual, and coming to some natural conclusions
about what it might be, witnesses sometimes report harassment and
threats.
Military and civilian pilots are known to be quite reticent about
reporting unusual flying objects. Careers reportedly can be
significantly damaged when pilots report seeing a UFO. Some accounts
even include fairly aggressive interrogation or debriefing by
mysterious
government agents who help witnesses forget what they saw, or at least
stay silent about it.
Many UFO investigators claim that the quasi-government group known as
Majestic-12, MJ-12 or MAJIC has been in charge of the UFO situation
since 1947, when a flying disc with several extraterrestrial biological
entities (EBEs) on board crashed near Roswell, New Mexico.
President Harry Truman reportedly ordered the creation of this group
and
it has continued to this day, according to UFO lore. Some researchers
allege that material from the crashed Roswell disc was quickly taken to
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, for examination and
that much of this type of government research has since shifted to
military facilities in New Mexico and Nevada.
Other reports claim that President Dwight Eisenhower met with an
extraterrestrial delegation in 1954 at Edwards Air Force Base in
California. While a congressman from Michigan in the mid-1960s, former
President Gerald Ford requested a government inquiry about UFOs after a
series of sightings in Michigan.
One story even claims that also in the mid-1960s, an exchange program
between the U.S. and the visiting EBEs took place.
According to information allegedly disclosed by Defense Intelligence
Agency (DIA) personnel, this program resulted in several
astronaut-trained U.S. military personnel being sent on an extended
mission to the EBEs' home planet via one of their advanced spacecraft,
which had landed at a New Mexico Air Force base.
This program is alleged to have been called "Project CRYSTAL KNIGHT"
and
was later renamed "Project SERPO" after most of the surviving U.S.
personnel returned home and were debriefed.

Whatever the truth of these many tales about UFOs, "The O'Hare
Incident"
is sure to find a place in the continuing mystery about what is going
on
... and what is going to happen in the future regarding disclosure to
the public about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors.

OPEN LETTER FROM: LARRY DICKEN OF "THE JERRY PIPPIN SHOW"
RE: Disc-shaped UFO over Chicago's O'Hare Airport triggers national,
international news coverage
This sighting, although admittedly important as a landmark event rather
than a quality event for many reasons, is being blown out of proportion
relative to many other excellent reports that Peter Davenport and many
other researchers and archivers have on file.
I totally disagree with the reasoning that lies behind the itemization
of witness "credibility" and mainstream media "attention" itemized by
the author of the article cited below (absolutely nothing personal,
Steve)
http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/viewArticle.asp?articleID=18655
as supporting the now widely pronounced super-importance of the 11/7/06
UFO sighting above the C Terminal of Chicago O'Hare International
Airport.
The real deal here is not "credible" as opposed to, for the record,
unqualified, uncertified or un-degreed ordinary citizens with good
common sense and observational skills of which there are billions
around
the world. Nor, is the attention of the, as usual, debunking attitude
of
the media.
One of course must give credit to at least two members of the media
from
the Chicago Tribune and CNN, who may be risking their careers in
treating this report as something worthy of old fashioned investigative
journalism, and respectful story presentation.
We can be assured that the vast majority of the mainstream media is
either ignoring this case or will continue to present it as the crazy
people seeing identifiable objects or presenting moving blobs of lights
video stories.
Kudos go to The Associated Press for making the Chicago Tribune Story
available to the media world-wide. Some media sites and some TV News
programs gave, at least the official FAA and United Airlines version of
the story -- love the lenticular cloud explanation.
But, the main point here is what a member of the media is doing with
this story. Politics has entered the picture and both government (FAA)
and corporate (United Airlines) cover-ups are being exposed at the
outset of the investigation.
In this case, a new aspect of UFO report research is being emphasized,
and rightfully so, by the reporter from the Chicago Tribune, who
attempted to obtain information from the FAA via a FOIA request about
its official knowledge and that of its employees. The FAA and the
Management of United Airlines are denying any knowledge of the
sighting.
Other than the political and limited supportive media member aspects of
this UFO sighting, it is just another hearsay case, which may be
eventually supported by one or more camera photos. Of course, we can
expect any photos and videos, along with those providing them, to be
skewered as being hoaxes by the debunking crowd from their armchairs.
I find it strange that no other public witnesses in the area of O'Hare
Airport and surrounding residential areas have come forth with reports
and photos or videos of the incident - not a one to my knowledge. If I
am wrong, please point me to this witness.
One can draw some disturbing conclusions about the lack of reports from
"ordinary" citizens and reports coming only from "credible" witnesses.
It is about time that we allow for the credibility of most
eyewitnesses.
What kind of expertise does it take to tell a UFO from a plane or a
cloud? Please, do give me a break.
In a year in which there were no major mass sightings over large
cities,
Peter Davenport and some members of the alternative media have managed
at the last minute to create the "UFO Story of the Year."
Some thought that the recovery of a crashed UFO and fighter jet from a
1953 reported collision incident or the great 2006 UFO video wave in
Australia would be such a story. Both appear to have been, after the
disappearance of all the perpetrators or further investigation, to have
been a well executed hoaxes.
Perhaps it is just my perspective, but a small measure of mainstream
media attention, along side of the continuance of their usual crazy UFO
story coverage, and the pronouncement of a very few "credible"
witnesses
actually seeing UFOs in a public place, do not a major UFO story make.
But, do let me emphasize that the one reporter in Chicago, Jon
Hilkevitch, deserves much praise for pursuing this story in the manner
of an old fashioned investigative reporter. Such journalists are few
and
far between in today's world, and in the field of UFO investigation, he
may, to date, be one of a kind.

Friends and Star Kids,
Here is a most arresting brief (8 min.) videotape of two Chicago
Tribune Television reporters talking candidly off-camera and then
on-camera
about the UFO which hovered over O'Hare International Airport's United
Airlines Concourse, specifically, 700 feet above Gate C-17 for several
minutes. The Incident happened November 7, but the Chicago Tribune
inexplicably only broke the story New Year's Day.
Definitely worth watching this new era in telling-it-like-it-is news
reporting, including mocking the government's unsatisfactory cover
story.
See:
And if you missed CNN television's straight-up and accepting
reportage of the UFO over O'Hare Airport, including an interview with
an
airport mechanic witness, and sketch of the disc, then watch it (2-1/2
mins.) here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoRr05yAGFk&mode=related&search
(Good old YouTube, the people's go-around to long-standing
government muzzling of UFO reportage.)
in the light,
