Drinking On Your Next Cryptid Expedition? Cryptomundo
How does one react and ponder what to do? What is listed in the unwritten “Cryptozoologists’ Guidelines for Field Behavior,” regarding cultural awareness when searching for cryptids in other countries?
Great article on should there be drinking on a hunt.

| Does the rush of sugar from soda pop (after pop after pop) count as a mood-altered state? What about the rush of adrenaline from being out under the stars with friends (or people you hardly know) in unfamiliar territory? I've seen people act as if they were intoxicated under such circumstances, having consumed nothing stronger than caffeine and carbos. |

You know it is funny that you would write this... I was thinking about going out to investigate Area 51 this summer with people that I do not know.
I was also thinking about staying up really late in the desert , then trying to sleep in my car around people I know nothing about.
In the end I thought I would most likely rent a hotel in Tooele and head out to the site late....then head back to the hotel.
I agree that perhaps wondering about strangers and if they had a hidden agenda....well that might add to the adrenaline rush that one might feel!
Ryan's experience sure does make you think about it! |

Yeah, Lyddia, it's best to use some caution. If anyone wants to drink on an investigation I'm outta there. Parties are parties and investigations are investigations. I will just bring my trusty Dr. Pepper. |

I was just thinking of Ryan's story as you were telling yours, Lyddia. I agree, it's best to use some caution, in choosing your traveling mates and in setting up trip conditions. I thought Icdedppul used good sense in holding off the pet cemetery trip until the snow had melted off a bit.
I should take my own advice and make sure there's a flashlight with batteries in my vehicle.
We'll be putting some emergency preparedness info under the "Zombies, Zombies, Zombies" area of the board in the near future. If anyone has more preparedness ideas, or other survival strategies, "Zombies" is the place to put them.... |

This whole discussion got me thinking.
QUESTION: If you were out on a late night UFO hunt (or ghost hunt or other adventure), and you were to bring along your favorite beverage(s), what would it/they be?
That's one vote for Dr. P by Icdedppul... |

Let's drink the hard stuff. Pepsi my drink of choice. Never that diet stuff. I like mine straight!
Oh Yea....let's really party strawberry twizzlers. When it really gets wild use them as a straw.
I know you all want to party with me now. First come first serve!

On another note, I love the thrill of the unknown. It's wield nothing really scares me. When we would go every night to the ranch for some reason I was more excited that afraid.
But that's why a need people to keep me in line. It's the Pepsi. |

Chai tea's the one for me.
Although something stronger could have its uses. When you run out of disinfectant in your first aid kit. In case you need some replacement mouthwash. Emergency deodorant. As an aid when marking trees in Bigfoot-infested territories. Etc. etc. You get the idea. |
