Hello from Los Angeles, where nothing weird or paranormal ever happens, and the natives are models of moral rectitude and conservatism.
However, this Spring I will be retiring and moving to Cedar City, where high weirdness and bizzarritude are the order of the day. I know of a restaurant there that is supposedly haunted by the ghosts of cats. |

Welcome to the board, marslight, we're happy to have you here
Lucky you, getting to retire. I hear Cedar City is a great place to retire. Tell us about this restaurant. We'll come down there when you get settled in and setup an investigation. |

| Welcome to the board. And yes we would love to come down and check out the cat spirits. I have never spent any time in Cedar City, just driven by on my way to Vegas or LA. |

Thank you for the warm welcome.
The restaurant I referred to is on Main Street, directly next to the Best Western. It was part of the old Escalante Hotel, now torn down, and believed to be the oldest building in Cedar City. It was a bakery, an auto parts store and a number of other businesses over the years. We visited there in 2002, and the waitress who served us told us that one of the former tenants had been notorious for his cruelty to cats, and that now and again disembodied cat meows can be heard at night after closing.
Well, maybe. Of course there are other explanations for this, including actual cats who find access to the building and hold choir practice there. But...who knows? |

Yes, cats must practice to get that angelic, trained vocal range that they have...heh heh.
Great to have you on the board, marslight, I love your sense of humor! |

Muahahahaha .... here's my devlishly sneaky way of sending a *ping* to the inboxes of all those who've set up their accounts to notify them when someone replies to a thread in which they have posted. Heheheheh....
Hope everyone is super (-natural, that is),
Love and wet sloppy kisses,
Test Badger

Well LONG time!!! Thanks for sending me a reminder to say HELLO ALL! I have been so busy looking for a job and doing home projects over the last 7 months that I haven't been to any boards.
Now I have a job and all is good with the world; I will have to set aside some time to check into this forum and Unknown Utah's as well.
I have missed seeing some of you.... Others of you are stuck with me!
Well keep in touch and let's plan a trip to the Ranch this summer! |
