Yeah, pretty quiet. I just spent a week in Cedar City and didn't experience one darn paranormal thing. Not one! Unless you consider my brother-in-law actually doing some construction work on our house paranormal.
We tried to get some bids on a new front porch, but all the contractors we gave plans to seem to have been visited by the Men In Black and frightened into silence. I can't think of any other explanation. Maybe they all got involuntarily levitated up to the mother ship. If so I hope they all got a good anal probing.
Did I mention I got married in early April? Well, I did. |

| Yes, please, Briget, although it now looks like the project may be put off for a few months. And if your contractor is one I already gave the plans to, I apologize for the anal probe thing, okay? |

I try to avoid using the terms "marriage" and "anal probe" in the same paragraph.
We got married in Cedar City since we are going to be living there. She asked if marriages in Utah are different than California marriages. I explained to her that she would now have to be totally subservient to me, and walk three paces behind me. This went over like the proverbial pregnant polevaulter.
I foresee a rocky marriage, especially after she asked me to stop at a market so she could purchase a rolling pin. |

Well, I'm really loving being married again, but the problem right now is her multiple sclerosis fired up and landed her in a hospital for two and a half weeks. In addition, her liver is giving her problems and she has developed a cataract in one eye. Poor baby is slowly getting stronger in a nursing facility which fortunately is just a few miles from our house, which she has not seen in two months.
This has all thrown the planned move to Utah into a cocked hat, and we probably won't be able to move until next Spring.
And it's miserably hot here right now. And idiots across the street are shooting off fireworks before it even gets dark. And some of my clients owe me money. And one of the cats just tossed up a big hairball. And it's hot (mentioned that already, didn't I?).
Boy, I haven't had a chance to throw a major-league snit like this in a while. Bet you wish you hadn't asked me how things are going!
And nothing paranormal has happened since I last posted!!! |

Dang! that's a lotta stuff, all at the same time. Wish her well for me, k? Sometimes summer isn't the break it's cracked up to be.
Hey, maybe all of it together IS paranormal, eh? |

Well, she was diagnosed with MS back in '91, and she has had a good run for the last sixteen years, so I guess the law of averages is finally catching up with her. She says she expected to be confined to a wheelchair long before this, and she may still regain her ability to walk.
She is an agnostic and has no use for organized religion, but when I told her several of my friends were praying for her, she said, "It can't hurt. Tell them thanks." |

Cromag read your thread, and says "Hope the rest of the year is better than it's been so far."
I am also an agnostic of sorts. Lack of an organized religion, and of full understanding of that which is beyond me, does not keep me from appreciating the greater... whatever it is. I do not know how it all works, I only know that somehow, it consistently does, for me. So... she has my best meditations, thoughts , prayers... whatever they are, they are hers. |
